Large Stovetop Fan – our most popular model
- This amazing heat-powered Wood Stove Fan distributes heat right across your room.
- It uses no power at all, just the heat from the stove itself.
- The hotter the stove, the faster the stove fan spins!
- The faster it spins, the further it pushes the warm air across your room.
What will I feel?
Have you ever been in a room beside a glowing wood heater, and found yourself moving closer and closer towards the heater until you are right next to the heater?
As you toast away, you don’t feel like moving because feels is too cold away from the fire. Sitting beside the heater is really toasty.
Well, you can fix that problem of uneven heat across the room with this little stove fan, that just sits on top of the stove, and works all by itself!
Starting at just 50oC it will start to gently blow heat right across the room. Soon, every part of the room feels comfortably warm, and not just around the fire. Then you will feel like doing stuff.
Solazone Heat-powered stove fan
How does it work?
It works totally silently (<25dB), uses no power, and runs whenever the stove gets hot.
As the stove gets warmer, the Wood Stove Fan runs faster and faster, moving the heat across to the far corners of the room. The great thing is, there are no dangerous leads, or cords to melt or burn. And even at top speed, there is hardly a whisper. It’s almost totally silent. (The stove fan makes less than 25 dB even going hard).
With large 180mm diameter black high-efficiency blades – the Solazone NEAT-864 model shifts lots of air – up to 250 cfm.
What is the secret to its success?
A compact thermal-electric unit that generates the tiny power used to run the fan, from heat conducted up from the base.
How does it work? No batteries, no plugs, just place it on the hot stove, and off it goes!
“I am surprised at the difference this little fan makes to cold corners of the room, that are quite a distance from the wood heater”
You will notice the difference in terms of how far the heat is directed across the room.
Will I still need to dry laundry right in front of the wood heater?
Not anymore. You can air damp clothes much further away from the wood heater, and they will still dry quickly and evenly.
Where do I get the best performance from my Wood Stove Fan?
Keep the Wood Stove Fan at least 100 mm away from the flue, so that it does not pick up radiant heat from the flue.
This will cause it to run faster, and for a longer time when the fire is low.
If you wish to distribute the heat from the flue across the room, point the fan slightly towards the flue so that the moving air picks up the flue heat as well.
In my experience, placing the stove fan towards the back of the woodstove, and pointing into the room, works the best.

Twin-fan Wood Stove Fan
- If your wood heater is installed in a fireplace much of the heat may be lost going up the chimney.
- Capture and redirect that heat across the room by using the squat twin-fan Wood Stove Fan.
- This compact stove fan has two mini fans and sits on top of the wood heater just under the chimney, and disperses otherwise wasted heat across the room.
- Two fans means considerably higher airflow than single fans, and the heat may be projected wider across the room.
Be amazed at the difference this makes!

Flue-mounted fan
Save the heat from going up the flue.
- Capture and use heat that is otherwise going up the flue and getting lost
- Locate it about a metre above the stove and capture heat that would otherwise be wasted.
- Designed for 150mm to 250mm diameter flue pipes, but can work on larger flues by using a longer stainless steel hose clamp band.
- The magnetic mounting wings “grab” onto mild-steel flues, but will not hold onto stainless steel flues, where you will need to rely on the included stainless band to secure the fan.
