- For people living off the grid, and want the flexibility to run the 900-watt solar pool pump from a 240-volt generator, at times when there is insufficient sunlight, we have a high-voltage pump and controller version available. The performance is the same, but the solar panels need to be configured differently. Call us for more details if you are interested in this option.

If you are sourcing your own solar panels, there are 2 basic rules when buying solar panels for our solar-powered pool pumps:
- Rated power from the solar array should be about 1.5 to 1.9 times the pump power to make sure the pump works in its best condition.
- Ensure the voltage from the solar array is high enough, but does not exceed the controller maximum.
- Design assistance is available for our pumps if you are unsure.
A two-year warranty applies to the pump and controller and covers manufacturing defects, but not freight.
The warranty is void if the pump has overheated from being run dry, blocked with debris, or run with a valve shut.

Time Clocks for controlling solar-powered pool pumps
Programmable Time clocks are available to control the pump running times during the day. These are not IP rated and must be installed in a protected place.
Use this timer to switch your pump on/off at different times each day.
Switches ON and OFF up to 28 times each day and features a selection of 15 day-of-the-week options. The minimum programmable time is 1 second.
The timer includes a long-lasting lithium battery to keep the settings when power is removed. Can be mounted to a wall with the short bit of DIN rail supplied.
Can switch the pump using the sensor terminals inside the pump controller, do not wire the pump directly through the timer.
Note please incorporate a “catch diode” (supplied) to protect the internal electronics from some types of load surges.
